More Docs Set For Release In Casey Case

Orlando Mom Accused Of Killing Daughter

POSTED: Monday, November 1, 2010
UPDATED: 1:29 pm EDT November 1, 2010

ORLANDO, Fla. -- About 1,000 pages of documents are expected to be released Tuesday in the Casey Anthony murder case.

Anthony, 24, is jailed on first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were found in December 2008. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008, about a month after she was last seen alive.
Jail letters are expected to be among the items released by the state attorney's office as part of the discovery process.
Anthony on Friday appeared at a court hearing in Orlando in which Judge Belvin Perry ruled against a request to make her jail records, such as visitor logs and commissary purchases, private. Perry said the records will remain public and can continue to be released.
Anthony has pleaded not guilty, claiming she left her daughter with a baby sitter and they were both gone when she returned to pick up Caylee.
Anthony's trial is scheduled to begin in May.

In a letter written by corrections Lieutenant Matt Irwin about Casey's reaction, he wrote, "Upon entering the medical area, she looked at the TV and immediately fell into the chair, doubling over and began to breathe rapidly. At one point we thought she was going to hyperventilate."

Irwin also wrote that Casey said "Oh no" after she heard the location on the news and that it was the body of a small child.

Newly released Casey Anthony evidence recounts 2008 family strife

State releases 1,000 pages of Casey Anthony discovery

By Anthony Colarossi, Amy L. Edwards and Bianca Prieto, Orlando Sentinel

11:31 a.m. EDT, November 2, 2010

The state has released roughly 1,000 pages of evidence in the Casey Anthony case this morning.

Some of the records include extended e-mail conversations from 2008 describing the troubled Anthony home, Cindy and George Anthony's marital problems, Casey Anthony's estrangement from her mother and Cindy Anthony's growing concerns about not seeing her granddaughter Caylee Marie during June and July 2008.
Also included was a wire-tap application from August 2008, so law-enforcement could keep track of who Casey Anthony, her parents, brother and ex-boyfriend were talking to. A judge granted that request.
Law-enforcement also applied for and was granted permission to use devices that track vehicle movement or other mobile objects.
The Orlando Sentinel continues to review the documents and will update this story soon.

Casey Anthony, 24, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie. Her trial is expected to start in May. She faces the death penalty if convicted.
Her defense team tried to have jail records involving Casey Anthony sealed but that request was denied in court Friday. Her defense was granted access to additional state funding, however, to prepare the case for trial during the hearing last week.

Cindy, Strangers Write To Casey Anthony

More Letters Released As Part Of Evidence Release

POSTED: 11:51 am EDT November 2, 2010
UPDATED: 12:19 pm EDT November 2, 2010

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The state attorney's office released several letters written to Casey Anthony in jail on Tuesday. The letters were part of almost 1,000 pages of evidence that were released.

Some of the letters are from people who do not apparently have a connection to the case. One of the letters is from Anthony's mother, Cindy Anthony.
That letter appears to be dated from June 2010. In the letter, Cindy Anthony expresses her disappointment that her letters get released, as well as some emotional moments in dealing with the loss of her granddaughter, Caylee Anthony.
"I really don't know how they can get away with sharing all of your private mail with the public," Cindy Anthony writes. "I don't care that the Sheriff's Office reads them, but where in the constitution does it state that the public has a right to read letters sent through the U.S. Postal Service."
Cindy Anthony expresses concern that the identities of many of the senders are also released in the letters. WESH 2 News redacts personal information before posting such letters online.
"I certainly hope enough people will contact an attorney and file a class action lawsuit against the prosecutor's office," she writes.
Cindy Anthony also reflects on her granddaughter's room, telling Casey that a leaking pipe soaked the carpet in her room.
"I better watch how I describe it," Cindy Anthony writes in the letter, likely referring to the criticism she received for saying to a 911 dispatcher her daughter's car smelled like a dead body.
"I hated it was Caylee's room," she said.
Cindy Anthony testified in July that she still believes Caylee is alive. She reiterated that belief in the letter.
"When Spring comes and your trial is over, we will find her together," she writes.
In her latest letter, she also says to her daughter, "I am proud of myself. I finally took Cay's potty chair out of my bathroom. Sounds crazy that it was there for two years. It's just so hard to let go of some things. We spent a lot of time together in the mornings while I was getting ready for work. I can still see her." (read Cindy's entire letter to Casey)

Letters From Strangers

Casey Anthony has received many letters from all over the country from people who presumably do not know her, but just have an interest in the case.
Several such letters were released on Tuesday.
"You are such an attractive, beautiful, gorgeous and lovely looking woman," one man from Missouri writes. "When you get out of jail Casey, will you be my girlfriend?" (read letter)
"Keep your head up and keep praying," a woman from Tennessee writes. (read letter)
"It just seems you have been sold short by the people around you," writes another man. "You are my dream girl." (read letter)

Jail: Anthony Shaken When Child's Body Found

Casey Anthony Says 'Oh No' When She Sees News Coverage

POSTED: 11:48 am EDT November 2, 2010
UPDATED: 12:43 pm EDT November 2, 2010

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Hundreds of pages of documents were released by prosecutors in the case against Casey Anthony on Tuesday.
The documents included a report from an Orange County Corrections officer who was with Anthony when the announcement was made that Caylee Anthony's body had been found.
Lt. Tammi Unser sent an e-mail to investigators on Dec. 11, 2008, after she spoke with a detective about the incident.
Unser said Anthony fell into a chair, doubled over and began breathing rapidly upon seeing the news coverage on television.
"At one point, we thought she was going to hyperventilate," Unser stated in the e-mail.
Anthony asked to have her chains loosened because she said they were too tight, but Unser said the chains were not too tight and were not changed.
As Anthony continued to watch the coverage, Unser said she stated, "Oh no," after hearing the location where the body was found and word that it was a small child's body. She then began pulling at her arms and fidgeting with her hands, the e-mail stated.
It was more than a week later before the body was identified as Caylee Anthony.
When asked if she would like to speak with a doctor in the jail's mental health unit, Anthony told Unser she wanted to call attorney Jose Baez. Unser said she would have to talk to the doctor before calling Baez. Anthony agreed.
Anthony was taken to see the doctor, and Unser said she remained with her during the visit.
"(Anthony) was still breathing rapidly and fidgeting with her hands during her conversation with him," Unser said.
During the conversation with the doctor, Anthony was asked if she would hurt herself, and she reassured both of them that she wouldn't.
"I stressed my concern was her safety, and we needed to make sure she was OK," Unser said. "She again stated hurting herself would not solve anything."
Anthony did ask for a sedative and reiterated her request to speak with Baez. When asked whether she had taken sedatives before, Anthony said the only drugs she had ever taken were muscle relaxants after an injury.
Unser waited with Anthony for Baez to arrive. Unser said about 15 minutes later, Anthony changed the subject to football and began talking about the national championship game.
Anthony was taken to an interview room after Baez arrived. Unser stood outside the interview room during their visit.
"During the first couple of minutes, Casey broke down and started to cry. She held her head in her hands and seemed visibly upset by her body motions," Unser said.
After a conversation with Baez, Anthony received the sedative and was escorted back to her jail cell.
"(Anthony's) personal property was bagged up as she was put on a (psych) watch," Unser said. "She was allowed to keep reading materials and her pictures of Caylee."

More discovery released in Anthony case

Updated: Tuesday, 02 Nov 2010, 1:21 PM EDT
Published : Tuesday, 02 Nov 2010, 12:16 PM EDT

The state attorney’s office released more than 1,000 pages of discovery in the Casey Anthony case Tuesday morning.
Included in the discovery is an e-mail written by Tammi Unser from the Orange County jail to Matt Irwin from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office narrating Casey Anthony’s reaction when she saw breaking news television coverage of the discovery of a child’s body near the Anthony family home on December 11, 2008. Unser writes that Anthony was escorted to the female medical area to watch the TV coverage and when she entered the room and saw the TV and “immediately fell into the chair.”
Unser goes on to say Anthony was breathing rapidly and stated “Oh No” after she heard it was the body of a small child. Unser writes that Anthony was then asked is she wanted to see the doctor and she replied that she wanted to speak to her attorney, Jose Baez, but was told she had to see the doctor first. She was then escorted to the doctor and later Baez arrived and the two met in an interview room which is where Unser says Anthony broke down and started to cry.

The discovery also includes the application for a wire tap of Casey Anthony’s phone as well as phones belonging to her mother and father, George and Cindy Anthony, her brother Lee Anthony, and her ex-boyfriend Anthony Lazzaro. The wire tap application was approved by a judge. A judge also approved tracking devices be placed on the vehicles driven by them.
Also included in the discovery is a letter dated June 8, 2010 written by an inmate in Marquette, Michigan to prosecuting attorney Linda Drane-Burdick as well as an affidavit he produced. In the letter and affidavit, Curtis Jackson tells her that in late 2007 until mid 2008 he was an associate of Casey Anthony and Tony Lazzaro, a former boyfriend of Casey. Jackson says he met Anthony through a pen-pal and the two wrote each other for several months.
Jackson goes on to say that Anthony told him she was too young to have a child and care for one and asked him if he killed anyone and what he would do to get rid of a child. He also says she asked him how to dispose of a body.
There is also a letter written by Cindy Anthony to Cindy dated July 21, 2010. In the letter Cindy tells Casey to “stay focused and strong” and that she sees her “strength and commitment to fight for your freedom.”
Also in the discovery is an e-mail from attorney Christian Lake with the Justice Administrative Commission to prosecuting attorney Linda Drane-Burdick. In the e-mail Lake discusses a phone call a JAC employee received from a person in Minnesota claiming to have knowledge about “Kaylee Anthony’s whereabouts.” (sic) Also included in the e-mail are the hand written notes the employee made while on the phone with the person.
The discovery also includes the application for a wire tape of Casey Anthony’s phone as well as phones belonging to her mother and father, George and Cindy Anthony, her brother Lee Anthony, and her ex-boyfriend Anthony Lazzaro. The wire tap application was approved by a judge. A judge also approved tracking devices be placed on the vehicles driven by them.

PostSubject: Re: CASEY ANTHONY ~ NOVEMBER 2010 ~   Tue Nov 02, 2010 2:00 pm

It's quite obvious to me that any letters sent to Casey Anthony are from

people who want 15 minutes, etc... and who know exactly NOTHING

about Casey and/or her dysfunctional family.

Writing to a felon like Casey is like a teen-ager writing to John Wayne

Gazy asking for a date to come to his home, knowing he had already

murdered umteen others.

Or like a HOOKER wanting to meet up with Jack The Ripper on a foggy

night in White Chapel and reminding him not to forget his scalpel.

Or wanting a ride in Ted Bundy's VW.

IMO these people who corresponded or are still corresponding with

Casey are completely NUTS.

Some are even fellow-felons incarcerated in prison throughout the

country.......who are nothing but LOOSERS commiserating with other

LOOSERS, and Casey Anthony surely fits that bill to a " T ".

Just-released Casey Anthony evidence recounts 2008 family strife

State releases 1,000 pages of Casey Anthony discovery

By Anthony Colarossi, Amy L. Edwards and Bianca Prieto, Orlando Sentinel

2:00 p.m. EDT, November 2, 2010

The state released roughly 1,000 pages of evidence in the Casey Anthony case this morning covering a broad range of elements in the sprawling, first-degree murder investigation.

The documents released cover everything from family gossip about the Anthonys before young Caylee Marie disappeared more than two years ago to physical evidence developed after the child's remains were discovered in December 2008 to encouraging letters sent to Casey Anthony in jail within the last few months.

Some records include extended e-mail conversations from 2008 describing the troubled Anthony home, Cindy and George Anthony's marital problems, Casey Anthony's estrangement from her mother and Cindy Anthony's growing concerns about not seeing her granddaughter, Caylee Marie, during June and July 2008.

One email, between Casey Anthony's grandmother and another family member, from July 11, 2008 states, "Something is keeping Casey from facing her mother???"

A third email states, "Something might be amiss with Caylee…I just hope that little girl is OK."

Also included in the documents is a wire-tap application from August 2008, so law-enforcement could keep track of who Casey Anthony, her parents, brother and ex-boyfriend were talking to. A judge granted that request.

Law-enforcement also applied for and was granted permission to use devices that track vehicle movement or other mobile objects.

Another document released details a complaint about obscene phone calls reported by Cindy Anthony. The January 2009 Orange County Sheriff's Office incident report describes calls from a man identified as "Giovanni."

Cindy Anthony said the caller initially told her he had information that could help with the investigation and that "he had a friend that is an ex-convict and this friend would take the blame for Caylee's disappearance and admit he took her, so Casey could be free." She refused to talk to him at that point.

The same "Giovanni" later left a voicemail message, stating "he wanted to take the blame for Casey (re: Caylee's death) if she traded sexual favors," according to the incident report. The investigating deputy described the message as "very obscene and vulgar."

Another Sheriff's Office document details Roy Kronk's December 2008 discovery of Caylee Marie's skeletal remains.

Other documents released today show: rambling emails between Dominic Casey and another private investigator about Haleigh Cummings, Caylee, psychics and how they miss each other; a nice note from Cindy to Casey talking about how Casey is so beautiful and once her trial is over the two of them will search for Caylee together; and bank statements for George and Cindy Anthony.

A July 21 letter from Cindy Anthony offered encouragement and confidence in her daughter's defense, stating, "I know that when the trial comes your team will blow all of their theories and lack of evidence up in their faces."

.

The documents also include several pages of hand-written notes about Casey Anthony. It's unclear who authored the notes, but it appears to be from a detective working on the case.

The notes say Anthony and Baez are close and that Casey had a crush on Baez and wanted to spend time with him. The notes also indicate Anthony was upset when she found out Baez's wife was pregnant.

There also is a Sheriff's Office report of witness tampering. The victim in that case is Anthony's friend Amy Huizenga.

Huizenga stated she received a message at 3:35 a.m., Oct. 15, 2008, that said if she didn't get the charges against Casey Anthony dropped the damage would be irreversible. Further documents state that call to Huizenga was made from a pay phone.

Docs: Officials Traced Anthony Family Phone Calls

Casey Anthony Accused Of Killing Daughter Caylee

POSTED: Monday, November 1, 2010
UPDATED: 3:46 pm EDT November 2, 2010

ORLANDO, Fla. -- About 1,000 pages of documents were released Tuesday in the Casey Anthony murder case.
READ: Documents | II | III
VIDEO: New Docs

The document release included more letters written to Anthony while she has been in the Orange County Jail, but the bulk of the pages included the Anthony family's bank records from around the time that Caylee Anthony disappeared. Detectives subpoenaed the records early in the investigation so they could understand the family's background.
The documents also include information that reveals that investigators traced every phone call to and from Anthony's family, including their home phone and all of their cell phones. Investigators placed tracking devices on cars belonging to her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, her brother, Lee Anthony, and her boyfriend at the time, Anthony Lazzaro.
One of the letters in the discovery released Tuesday was from Cindy Anthony, written days after she testified at a hearing.
"I have never given up on you," Cindy Anthony wrote. "I see your strength and commitment to fight for your freedom and for Caylee. When spring comes and your trial is over, we will find her together. I continue to seek her and continue to have hope that we will all be able to be reunited soon. All their twisting of the truth and purposely leaving out statements or evidence will eventually bite them in the rear."
Anthony, 24, is jailed on first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were found in December 2008. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008, about a month after she was last seen alive.

Anthony's mom believes in daughter's innocence

The Associated Press

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's mother wrote in a letter last summer that she has never given up believing that her daughter is innocent of murdering her infant granddaughter.
The letter Cindy Anthony wrote to her daughter, Casey, in jail last summer was among 1,000 pages of documents released Tuesday by the State Attorney's Office. Cindy Anthony says in the letter that after Casey Anthony's trial is over they will look for 2-year-old Caylee Anthony together.
Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty to killing her daughter and says a baby sitter kidnapped Caylee.
The documents also show that detectives investigating Caylee's disappearance sought and received court permission to trace the phone calls of Casey Anthony, her parents and brother, and as well as put tracking devices on their cars.

PostSubject: Caylee Anthony case: The de-Kronking of Roy Kronk   Wed Nov 03, 2010 9:39 am

Caylee Anthony case: The de-Kronking of Roy Kronk

Posted on November 3rd, 2010 by Valhall
I’m slowly making my way through the 900+ pages of discovery released yesterday and lagging far behind the readers here, so bear with me. After suffering through slick-dick Dom and the psychics trying to focus on any fair-haired men they could find photos of, including Roy Kronk’s son Brandon, I finally landed on something of value. So out of all of this, I’d like to first focus on two pages, that’s it.
On November 20, 2009 the defense filed a Motion in Limine and a supporting memo in which they laid out their strategy of trying to implicate Roy Kronk as the SODDI in Caylee Anthony’s murder. By and large their preliminary presentation in these documents was all hearsay, and a considerable amount of hand-waving. But it boiled down to: Kronk had owned duct tape before and he knew how to use it. Kronk has ex-wives that don’t like him and know how talk. Kronk has a son that lives with an ex-wife who doesn’t like him and so he’ll talk, too. The motive is money. The opportunity for first grabbing Caylee and murdering her is never made clear, but one thing is. The defense laid out that Roy Kronk had the opportunity to place Caylee Anthony’s body (I’m assuming replete with vegetation growing through her bones) at the dump site the day before he called 911 and reported he had found her.
Now, it never did make sense, but that’s the best the defense has had to offer so far. Because Roy Kronk took a personal day off on December 10th and so the defense, I assume, claims he placed Caylee’s remains at the dump site and then the next day phoned in “the discovery”. Along with this placement he had to pull off the aforementioned vegetation growth through the remains, and he had to be a near evil genius in scattering her bones in such a manner to make it look like natural predators and water movement had done it, etc.
On pages 134 and 135 of this pdf released yesterday we find that Roy Kronk did not take a personal day for the purpose of nefarious deeds in a swamp. Now, I can’t vouchsafe for what all Roy did do that day, but I can tell you he was afoot until 1 p.m. It appears Roy woke to find the clutch went out on his 1996 Cavalier and he was busy shelling out over $1100 in towing and repair charges to get it fixed. Roy Kronk’s car was towed at around 8 a.m. To replace a clutch is about a 4 hour job. And at 1:00 p.m. Roy Kronk paid $1,084.17 and picked up his vehicle from Blanton Automotive repair shop.
So while the defense is free to ask Mr. Kronk what he did after 1:00 p.m., they are going to look mighty silly to try to accuse him of taking a personal day to move a body when he can prove why he was off work. And on another note, I’m wondering if Brandon is still so obliging to assist the defense in their efforts to throw his dad under the bus now that he knows it could just as easily have been him, bein’s he’s fair-haired and all and “Ginny” was looking for a fair-haired POI.

PostSubject: Casey Anthonys Body Language Signals Upon Discovering A Child's Body Was Found Speaks Volumes   Wed Nov 03, 2010 9:44 am

Casey Anthonys Body Language Signals Upon Discovering A Child’s Body Was Found Speaks Volumes

November 3, 2010

After reading the report from Lt.Tammi Unser at the correctional facility which described what Casey did when she watched the television report concerning Caylee’s remains, it is apparent to me that Casey’s body language spoke volumes about what she knew about Caylee and whether or not she was guilty.

1, Casey falls into the chair. She is obviously weak in the kness here and is physically unbalanced as she falls instead of sits in the chair .
2.She began doubling over and begins to breathe rapidly. This is a telling signal in that it means that her autonomic nervous system is taking over. She can no longer control her breathing.
3.She asks for her belly chains to be loosened as she felt they were too tight. In essence her abdominal are is working overtime as she begins hyperventilating. Thus the air in her abdominal area expands and makes her feel like the chains are getting tighter. No doubt she also felt pressure in her stomach region as she quickly realized that she could no longer get away with her lies .
4.She lifted her head up and leaned back in the chair, however her eyes were closed. The lifting up of her head was an automatic reaction to open the airway to get some air into her system. The leaning back in the chair was a type of resignation that she was now caught. The fact that her eyes were closed is very significant. It says that she didn’t want to see or acknowledge what she allegedly did to Caylee. It was a form of denial on her part.
5. She stated Oh No when she learned the location on the news and that it was the body of a small child. At this point no one knew that it was a little girl’s body. The fact that she didn’t say” I hope it;s not Caylee” or something to that effect says a lot. A simple Oh No may likely reflect ”Oh No I’m busted” or ”Oh No how could they find her?

6. Began pulling at arm and fidgeting with hands says it all, This is not only a signal of deception This is often a signal of guilt and self mutilation when someone is found out. Pulling and wringing of the hands usually signifies that someone is extremely worried about something.
7.She said she wanted to speak to her attorney. If someone wasn’t guilty about something and simply distraught about thinking a found body might be their daughter’s body, why wouldn’t they immediately want to speak with a mental health professional as opposed to their attorney? One would want to confide in a person who has the ability to comfort them and help them cope with a potential loss? But no. Casey wanted to speak with Jose Baez. She wanted her attorney because she knew that the finding of the body and where it was found required the help of an attorney, not a psychologist.
8. She continued breathing rapidly and fidgeting with her hands when talking to him. (Dr, Branch) Here is where you see how the body doesn’t lie. Her autonomic nervous system has taken over and is in full force with the rapid breathing and uncontrollable nervous hand gestures and movements.
9. She assured both of us she would not hurt herself. Of course Casey would not think of hurting herself. She is too much of a narcissist and a coward. She said hurting herself would not solve anything. Here we see how she is for the first time coming to grips with the reality that she must now have to deal with the problem of Caylee’s remains being found. She did ask of she could get a sedative to relax. Here we see how Casey is thinking about Casey first and foremost. She feels uncomfortable and doesn’t like that feeling so she wants to numb herself. She is in fear and wants something to calm her fears so she does’t have to deal with that emotion.
1
11.It was too early to cry and she was not going to break down. What???? To early to cry???? If someone was distraught about the possibility that the body that was found was her child, they couldn’t stop crying! They would be inconsolable. The fact that she used the words too early to cry screams manipulation. If anything points to Casey being a sociopath, this is it! She is devoid of any true or real emotion.
11, She appeared to have red eyes from crying. Her breathing was normal No doubt if Casey was crying any real tears those tears were for herself and not for Caylee. She was most probably crying about what was going to happen to her.On the other hand, maybe she had no tears. After all she was not actually seen crying by Lt. Unger based on how Casey was positioned. So perhaps Casey was doing her old “stick her finger in in eyes to make them red and wipe away the non tears act “which we saw so often in the courtroom. Why did she suddenly conjure up some red eyes? After all there were no tears initially. If someone really loved a child and had an inkling the child found may have been theirs, they would surely shed real genuine tears. They would keep shedding those liquid tears and would not stop shedding them. They wouldn’t just have red eyes.

12 Her stomach no longer hurt and she didn’t feel like throwing up.Of course not. Her ice cold system was back to it’s normal state. Her autonomic nervous stem was no longer on active duty. Most people would still feel queasy or uneasy if they thought it was their child who was found. They would feel enraged that someone could do something like that to a child who could be theirs. Their stomach would be in knots. But not case;s stomach. She was fine. Maybe Jose reassured her that he would save her and that there was no evidence that she killed Caylee and that they would have to prove it for her to be guilty. So she no doubt felt like she was going to get away with everything.
13. She asked if she could take a shower which she was given. She felt calmer after her shower. Of course she felt calmer. She in essence washed away her sins. When a sexual predator says that they took a shower or washed themselves off, chances are they are guilty. They are washing away the evidence and their guilt. Similarly Casey’s request for a shower and washing away her guilt over allegedly killing Caylee is quite symbolic.
14. Her eyes appeared red however she had a calm demeanor Please tell me how you can have red eyes from all that crying and still have a calm demeanor. You cant! You can only have a calm demeanor when you are not crying real tears but you are sticking your fingers in your eyes or rubbing them a lot. the calm demeanor is disconcerting, True she took a sedative. But even so, there is no calmness if you thought the child you loved so much was murdered by someone else.
To me this report says a great deal. It says that Casey cannot feel real feelings. It says that she may indeed show signals which reflect her upset about being found out about allegedly killing Caylee. It shows that she is manipulative and that her main concern is about self. It would be very interesting to see Dr. Brand the mental health professional’s report and the report from Ms. Pat. I wonder what she said to them and how she looked and sounded when she said what she said to them. www.drlillianglass.com

Cindy Anthony Letter: Cindy and Casey Will Find Caylee

Note: in this letter from Cindy Anthony, she continues her claim that Caylee is alive and that she and Casey, together, will find Caylee. Taking both letters into consideration, the emphasis begins with Casey's physical appearance, but then goes on to general complaints about the justice system and hatred of Kathi Belich. Belich may be the reason why Mason seeks to get out of this case (see prior analysis). While at WFTV's web site, take a look at Bill Shaeffer's blog; excellently written as always.

We will cover the trial extensively, through the lense of Statement Analysis, next Spring as well as keep running commentary on the radio program.
.

Email Details Moment Casey Learned Body Was Found

The jail video is still sealed, but new documents paint a clearer picture of Casey's reaction at the very moment she found out Caylee's remains had likely been found and, even though she and her family were insisting Caylee was still alive, Casey's first concern was herself.

Five hours after Orange County Jail Lt. Tammi Unser watched Casey react to the WFTV special report on December 11, 2008 that Caylee's remains had probably been found, the guard emailed investigators.

The just-released email says Casey looked at the TV and immediately fell into a chair, doubled over, and they thought she was going to hyperventilate. She lifted her head and leaned back with her eyes closed.

About a minute later, Casey said, "Oh no," and then began pulling at her arm and fidgeting and said she wanted to call her attorney. Minutes later, she asked for her attorney again.

Casey said "it was just too early to cry, and she was not going to break down." She then started talking about football and the national championship game. But she did cry when she visited with her attorney, Jose Baez.

The new documents also show 34 checks Casey is accused of stealing from her mother Cindy, written for cash to Target, Walgreens, Michael's, Ross, Kmart and Publix from December 2007 to March 2008.

The documents also include the notes of an Orange County investigator (read notes) that show Casey's jail friend, inmate Robyn Adams, apparently told him Casey said she used to give Caylee chloroform, always in her bed, that she did not want to be a mom, that she cried when talking about her brother Lee and father George molesting her, that there was no nanny named Zenaida, and changed her story about what caused the odor in her trunk, from a squirrel to pizza.

The inmate also told investigators Casey told her the defense strategy involved the one who found Caylee's remains, Orange County meter reader Roy Kronk. The documents also show the Anthonys' private investigator wanted to try to blame Kronk's son, who lives out of state.

The documents also included details on what her mother promised in letters she wrote this past summer (read Cindy's letters).

The month after Casey's family's letters to her were released to the public, her mother Cindy continued to write to her. One of the letters released Tuesday was written in July, after Cindy testified at a hearing about whether a jury could hear her frantic 911 calls, telling investigators Casey's car trunk smelled like there'd been a dead body in it.

Cindy said she was grateful to be face-to-face with Casey for more than a brief moment. She wrote about Caylee: "When spring comes and your trial is over, we will find her together. I continue to seek her and continue to have hope that we will all be reunited soon."That was a year and a half after the family said they had Caylee cremated.

In another letter, Cindy prayed, rambled about how unfair it was Casey's letters are released to the public. The defense had just tried last week, again, to have Casey's jail records, including her mail, sealed from the public, but now the family knows their letters are being released when they write to Casey.

Casey also got a couple more love letters from one guy asking her to be his girlfriend and another telling her she's his dream girl.

Also among the nearly 1,000 pages released are documents regarding tracking several people involved in the case (read them).
-------------------------------------------------------------------
editing....

Below is a letter from Cindy Anthony sent to Casey Anthony, July 2010.

WFTV: Cindy said she was grateful to be face-to-face with Casey for more than a brief moment. She wrote about Caylee: "When spring comes and your trial is over, we will find her together. I continue to seek her and continue to have hope that we will all be reunited soon."
That was a year and a half after the family said they had Caylee cremated.

Statement Analysis follows in bold type A letter is analyzed in the same way as any statement; noting the order, in particular, as well as verb tense, pronoun usage, and any speficic language changes. Content is sometimes measured to see which topics within a letter receive the greatest emphasis.

7-21-10

Dear Casey

You looked so beautiful last Thursday.

Note the continued emphasis upon the physical appearance. This was a strong theme of letters from her father, George, up until the time her accusation of molestation went public. This is a common theme from her mother.

In analyzing a letter, we look to see what topic is introduced in the beginning as an important topic to the writer and here we have, as in other letters, the emphasis upon Casey's physical appearance. This is strange considering that Casey Anthony is incarcerated for the murder of the author's 2 year old granddaughter, awaiting trial, but is consistent with letters from both of Casey's parents
.

Your hair is so long and pretty

Note the same emphasis upon appearance; the hair.

CASEY ANTHONY: THE HORRIFIC MOMENT OF DISCOVERY

CASEY ANTHONY strained at her chains and gasped "Oh no!" when her murdered child CAYLEE's remains were discovered, secret documents reveal!

The documents, part of over 1,000 pages of evidence in the case of the accused murder mom, describe in excruciating detail the horror at the moment of discovery.

Lt. Tammi Unser, the Orange County Corrections officer who was with Anthony in jail when the announcement was made on TV that Caylee Anthony's body had been found, sent an e-mail to investigators on Dec. 11, 2008 after speaking with detectives.

Unser witnessed that Casey collapsed into a chair and doubled over. She began breathing very rapidly seeing the news unspool live.

"At one point, we thought she was going to hyperventilate," Lt. Unser wrote.

Then, Casey asked to have her chains loosened because she claimed they were too tight.

Upon inspection, Lt. Unser had said that the chains were not and they weren't loosened.

As Casey continued to watch, she gasped "Oh no," upon hearing that the precise location and that the body found was of a small child.

The e-mail then recalled that Casey began pulling at her arms and fidgeting with her hands.

Yet it was more than week before the medical examiner verified the remains as Caylee Anthony.

Casey Anthony remains behind bars accused of the murder of her daughter.

The sensational murder trial is docketed to begin May 2011.

Details From Family Member Could Hurt Anthony Case

Cindy Anthony's Mother Shares E-Mails Exchanged With Sister

POSTED: 9:46 pm EDT November 3, 2010
UPDATED: 10:39 pm EDT November 3, 2010

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Newly released documents showed on Wednesday that a member of Casey Anthony's family laid the groundwork that could help prosecutors make their case against her.
According to investigators, Cindy Anthony's mother, Shirley Plesea, said she wanted to share e-mails that she had exchanged with her sister.
“It gives the state a window into the family, (which) the family might not freely and candidly be revealing to the State Attorney's Office,” defense attorney Richard Hornsby said.
Hornsby said that 11 days before Caylee disappeared, Plesea talked about Cindy exhausting her savings to cover credit card expenses run up by daughter, Casey, and husband, George. A month later, Plesea noted that Cindy Anthony had not gotten to see Caylee since they visited the child's grandfather on Father's Day.
Four days later, Plesea said, Cindy Anthony found her daughter and called authorities to report Caylee missing.
Hornsby said the state will argue that money conflicts, tensions with Cindy Anthony about raising Caylee and desire to hurt her mother were Casey Anthony's motives for killing the child.

Cindy Anthony wrote in a letter that she has never given up believing that her daughter is innocent in the death of her granddaughter, Caylee Anthony.
More details at the links below.
From the Associated Press:
The letter Cindy Anthony wrote last summer to jailed daughter Casey was among 1,000 pages of documents released Tuesday by the State Attorney’s Office. Cindy Anthony says in the letter that after Casey Anthony’s trial is over, they will look together for young Caylee Anthony.
From The TV Guy:
Kealing highlighted another unusual bit. In a letter this year, Cindy Anthony wrote Casey, predicted her daughter would be acquitted and said they could look for Caylee together.
WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich highlighted portions of that letter: Cindy said she was grateful to be face to face with Casey at a court hearing. And Cindy wrote that she continued to seek Caylee and hope for a family reunion. “This was a year and a half after the family said they had Caylee cremated,” Belich said.

Inmate: Casey Anthony Looked for Hitman

Posted: 03:04 PM ET

Atlanta, GA – More than 900 pages of discovery documents related to the Casey Anthony murder case were released by the Florida State Attorney’s Office. We’ve read through the documents and have more information on the investigation and the Anthony family.
On the investigation
The discovery includes a letter and affidavit from a Michigan inmate to the prosecution. Curtis Jackson wrote that Casey asked him about hiring a hitman. Jackson said that Casey “asked me in coded language if I knew of anyone who was willing to be paid to kill someone." Jackson also wrote that Casey asked about disposing of children and if he knew which types of poison were untraceable. Jackson said he met Casey and her ex-boyfriend Anthony Lazzaro through a pen pal.
Another document describes Casey’s reaction to television reports that a child’s body had been discovered near the Anthony family home on December 11, 2008. Tammy Unser at the Orange County jail wrote, “She looked at the TV and immediately fell into the chair, doubling over and began to breath [sic] rapidly... [at] approximately 1140 she stated ‘Oh No’ after she heard the location of the news and that it was the body of a small child.”
Unser went on to write, “I asked her again if she was OK and she said yes, it was just too early to cry and she was not going to break down. She then changed the subject to football and began talking about the national championship game.”
Letters to Casey
The document release includes letters from Cindy Anthony. In a note to her daughter from June 2009, she explained her frustration with the State Attorney’s Office. Cindy wrote, “I really don't know how they can get away with sharing all of your private mail with the public. I don't care that the Sheriff's Office reads them, but where in the constitution does it state that the public has a right to read letters sent through the U.S. Postal Service."
Several of the letters released by the Attorney’s Office came from people with no relation to the case. Their names and addresses were made public. Cindy wrote, "I certainly hope enough people will contact an attorney and file a class action lawsuit against the prosecutor's office."
Cindy also wrote about her granddaughter’s room and how she is moving on. “I am so proud of myself. I finally took Cay's potty chair out of my bathroom. Sounds crazy that it was in there for 2 years. It is just so hard to let go of some things. We spent all of that time together in the mornings while I was getting ready for work. I can still see her.”
In the second letter written only a month later, in July 2009, Cindy tells her daughter, "I have not given up on you. My faith in you and God has continued to grow everyday.”
Cindy writes optimistically about her daughter being acquitted and talks about the pair looking for Caylee, “When Spring comes and your trial is over we will find her together. I continue to seek her and continue to have hope that we will all be reunited soon."
Cindy goes on to offer her daughter advice about the upcoming trial. She wrote, "I need you to continue to stay focus and strong. Don't let all of the games that the State [Attorney’s] Office and Mark Nejame or anyone else is playing get to you. In the end they will all have to face up to what they are doing. All their twisting of the truth and purposely leaving out statements or evidence will eventually bite them in the rear. I know that when the trial comes your team will blow all of their theories and lack of evidence up in their faces."
Casey also received letters from admirers. One man from New Jersey told Casey, "You are my dream girl." A man from Missouri took it a step further. He wrote, "You are such an attractive, beautiful, gorgeous and lovely looking woman…. When you get out of jail Casey, will you be my girlfriend?" A woman from Tennessee offered Casey advice, "Keep your head up and keep praying."
Stay with In Session for the latest developments in the Casey Anthony case.

"Soundtrack To a Brainfry:” The Lost Chapters

-Orlando, FL
Everyone remember to thank your lucky stars at the Thanksgiving table this month, because local pillpopping gremlin Cindy Anthony has blessed the world of literature once again with the release of two lost chapters to her masterpiece, “Soundtrack To A Brainfry.” And these marvels of wordsmithery have Nobel Prize written ALL over them. Or at least their very own section of praise in the critically acclaimed DSM-V, due out soon. This rambling, whirling dervish of tomfoolery is one HOT mess. And in this clever marketing ploy, Cindy uses the “lost” chapters to further peel away the layers of insanity within the Anthony tribe, exposing the mangled, twisted dingbat at its core. We’re talkin full. On. Anthony. Lunacy. Dig it.
It’s apparent Cindy diligently studied a copy of fellow pillpopper Courtney Love’s “Guide to Spelling and Etiquette” before embarking on this creative journey. Or maybe she just follows her on Twitter. Whatever the case, Cindy can barely spell her own name, and thrashes around in all kinds of alphabet-soup-style nonsense, and sounds like she just snorted a few lines of oxycontin too many. Courtney would be proud. Maybe they can start a new riot grrrrrrrl band together. Babydoll dresses and barrettes galore! Cindy can break guitars with her pet hammer Fluffy.
Anyway, here’s the first missing chapter in its entirety. Spoiler alert: she waxes both political and religious. That’s right, Our Lady of Big League Chew (and a little crime scene tampering and a lot of lying) talks God and Communism in this first gem. Double whammy. She’s kickin down doors all over the place…
Dear Casey
I was so good to be able to visit with Jeanene on Fri. esp. after all the new stuff they call discovery came out. I really don’t know how they can get away with sharing all of your private MAIL with the public. I don’t care that the sheriff’s office reads them but where in the constitution does it state that the public has a right to read letters sent thru the US postal service. And to print out all sender’s information. Its bad enough people’s private thoughts are now public but also their addresses & signatures. TALK about giving the cons in the world everyone’s info on a silver plater. Indentity fraud is so easy anyway these days now no one has anyway to fight back giving out people’s signatures to copy, cut & paste HOW STUPID! I certainly hope enough people will contact an atty & file a class action lawsuit against the prosecutor’s office. We may as well live in a Communist Country we have no rights anymore. I saw the other day a group of atheist want to remove UNDER GOD from the pledge of allegiance. I bet those same people have no problem spending money or excepting money with IN GOD WE TRUST on it! Its time to put a stop to all of this nonsense and fight for all our rights. Taking God out of the equation is what is fundamentally wrong with this nation these days. When people remove God from their lives then it allows all the negative, hatefulness of people to come out. Even if people choose not to believe in God they should at least have some sense of Humanity in ther life. Instead people have become so far removed from being a compassionate righteous being to a cold and bitter being. People tend to gravitate to the “its not my problem” attitude or “I’m better than that attitude.” Look at what happens to people when they do something good – they are questioned for their motivation and treated as if its not the normal or right thing to do. I guess I am still very nieve about people doing the right thing because its the right thing to do. No motive. Humans were given the ability to love, reason and make choices. When did it get so that the right choices are now ridiculed. Humanity is one man’s compassion for another. So no humanity no God – no wonder. The devil is making havok, only the weak minded give up and give in to his lies and deception. The strong in heart and spirit will stand up and boldly seek a higher power. Father God I pray to you right now that may your blessings fall upon those who confirm to seek you and your ways, and that your mercy and grace flow down to those of us who have the courage to look the devil straight in his eyes and say you have no power against me because I am God’s child and Jesus is my saviour. The lord has taken you down once and he take you down again. Thank you Father God for your strength and courage and for never leaving me. You are the one who is in total control. For this I thank you in the name of your son, Jesus Christ this I pray. Amen. Casey stay strong and don’t let all this nonsense get you stressed. Jeanene told me about last thurs. I’m glad you are reporting them now. I hope al some point Jose can achiece what he needs to get you to see someone soon. I don’t know if Jeanene told you about the water pipe that broke on Fri. We had water from the pipe outside Caylee’s room leak into her room mostly into her play corner. – Carpet was soaked and walls were damp. Every think is drying out but the carpet smells bad. (I better watch how I describe it they may come take it to discovery! Its amazing how even clean water can smell rancid after it sits for a while! Fortunately, one of our church friends was able to come out and fix the broken pipe. I hated it was Caylee’s room but at least nothing is ruined. I went to see gma & pa on Thurs and I plan on seeing them again tomorrow. They are both doing well and ask about you. I’d drove to Ft. Myers last wk to see your other grandparents and they are hanging in there. We had dinner with Lee & Mal last night. Always good to play with them. They went to NYC last wk end for a race and air show. Jody & Todd took them so we turtle sat for Zam. He is huge. Reminds me how fast Rocky grew! Wasn’t going to tell you but Tinker is not doing so well. She has been sick off & on for about a month. 1st it was vomiting and diarrhea then its retintion of water. I have her on a diuretic and she seems to be doing some better. I don’t want to worry you but its like when Penny died. Its so hard to imagine them being gone esp since they were Caylee’s pets too. I am proud of myself. I finally took Cay’s potty chair out of my bedroom. Sounds crazy that it was in there for 2 yrs. Its just so hard to let go of somethings. We spend alot of time together in the mornings while I was getting ready for work. I can still see her. Well enough before I cry. Don’t worry about me sweetheart, I am too stubborn to give up even though it would be so easy – but can’t let the devil win. I have too much faith to let them steal my JOY! Love you always & forever
Mom

We can pause long enough for you to finish banging your head into the wall.
Alright, you done? Cool, now get ready to do it again, because Chapter 2 is quite a thrillride. At this point, I recommend hiding/locking all weapons, and adhering a sponge to your forehead to avoid cracking your skull against the wall:
Dear Casey,
You looked so beautiful last Thursday. Your hair is so long & pretty. As much as I hated being on the witness stand, I was greatful for the opportunity to look at your face for more than a brief moment. I know Lee felt the same way. Both he & Mal have missed you so much. I’m sorry that you have to continue to be put through all of this. I have never given up on you. My faith in you and God has continued to grow everyday. I see your strength and commitment to fight for your freedom and for Caylee. When spring comes and your trial is over we will find her together. I continue to seek her and continue to have hope that we will all be reunited soon. I need you to continue to stay focused and strong. Don’t let all of the games that the states atty’s office and Mark Nejame or anyone else is playing get to you. In the end they will all have to face up to what they are doing. All their twisting of the truth and purposely leaving out statements or evidence will eventually bite them in the rear. I know that when the trial comes your team will blow all their theories and lack of evidence up in their faces. Side note Horace just crapped on the living room floor. I just saw him do it. I’ve been blaming the dogs. What in the world has gotten into him? That’s the 3rd time in the last wk. I truly thought it was Tinker. Anyway your cat is so spoiled. He is getting old though. He know I’m mad at him now. He’s sitting on the back of the recliner staring at me. I’m sitting on the couch writing to you. Well I have to tell you, your mother is still a little bit of a daredevil. We went to Tennessee 2 wks ago with Donna’s family. Her sister lives in Chattanooga. The mountains there are so beautiful. Anyway her house is on a hill and the driveway is extremely long & steep. Well there was this turtle riding toy and I had to try it out. Needless to say it went fast and when I tried to stop I flew in the air and landed on my left hip and took a chunk of skin off my right elbow. Thank god I had jeans on or I wouldn’t have any meat on my thigh either. I ended up with a softball size lump and football size bruise on my thigh. Still hurts like a son of a gun. Still swollen & bruised. My elbow is finally starting to fill in. – Thurs I wore a sweater on Thurs. to court so someone couldn’t say anything about it. Little miss witchy pooh from Ch. 9 would concockted one of her stupid stories. I heard Cheney put her in her place the other day. I told her the same thing in Oct 2008. Sorry my side notes are taking me to talking about CRAP. At least Horace’s was funny and her’s isn’t. I’m sorry this is short. I’m kinda tired. Hope you’re feeling OK. I love you and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Always and forever
love mom

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- One of former Orange County sheriff Kevin Beary's public information officers is among those due to give sworn depositions in the case against Casey Anthony next week.

Deputy Carlos Padilla was a familiar face speaking on behalf of the Sheriff's Office.

Padilla and a number of other investigators are due to be questioned by Anthony's defense team next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Two computer forensic experts will also be deposed. They found evidence someone researched the subject of neck breaking in the Anthony home.

Could AG-Elect's Link To Anthony Case Impact Jury?

Newly Elected Attorney General Used To Provide Case Analysis

POSTED: 4:44 pm EDT November 4, 2010
UPDATED: 5:59 pm EDT November 4, 2010

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Florida's newly elected attorney general, Pam Bondi, has an interesting connection to one of the highest profile cases in the state, the disappearance of Caylee Anthony and the arrest of her mother, Casey Anthony.
Bondi was well known on the network news circuit for weighing in on the case.
At the time, Bondi was a Tampa prosecutor. She offered analysis on the Anthony case on cable and network television shows.
WATCH: Bondi Weighs In On Anthony Case

Judge Belvin Perry has already ruled that jurors in Anthony's murder trial will be brought in from elsewhere in Florida.
Given Bondi's notoriety in Tampa prior to her election, defense attorney Richard Hornsby said Anthony's defense team has room to argue that jurors should not be chosen from that area. Hornsby is not connected to the Anthony case.
"She's excluded that as a venue in my opinion to go to find jurors," Hornsby said. "It gives the defense more ammunition to argue for more specific venues to pick the jury from."
Hornsby said Bondi should cut off any further legal analysis because it opens the door for other defense motions.
A spokesman for Bondi told WESH 2 News on Wednesday that she is "still open to offering her views, but she would have to look at each case and see if it would be appropriate."
The spokesman added that Bondi's previous appearances were as an unpaid legal expert.

PostSubject: Casey Anthony's Body Language Signs When Learning a Child's Body Was Discovered Speaks Volumes   Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:32 pm

Casey Anthony’s Body Language Signs When Learning a Child’s Body Was Discovered Speaks Volumes

Jose Baez Change In Body Language Towards Casey Anthony, Her Reported Crush On Him, And Potential Affects On The Case

As someone who has worked with a of lawyers as a jury consultant, I can assure that it is a good thing when a lawyer is compassionate and caring towards their client. It shows a lawyer who really cares ,and believes in their client’s cause or their innocence as they fight passionately for their client.
Oftentimes, members of a jury pay close attention to the interaction between client and attorney during the trial which can often have an impact on their decision.
When Jose Baez first started working with Casey Anthony , he was extremely protective over her as you can see in the photo above. This was before any child’s body was found and when there was a huge question about some nanny named Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez , who was on the loose and had a little girl in her possession.
JOSE BAEZ- A WARM AND HUGGING TYPE OF GUY
After getting to know Jose through observing videos of him on talk shows, interviews and in the Courtroom, he appeared to be an affable, likeable, pleasant, and warm type of guy- a touchy feely – hugging type of guy.
In fact, back in 2008, when Jose began working with Casey, Eyewitness News in Orlando reported that they discovered that on at least two occasions jail staff had to step in and Baez was warned repeatedly about hugging Casey during their visits. A jail report even stated : “The inmate’s attorney was observed hugging inmate and was advised that physical contact was prohibited.”
A week later, another report stated: “Baez again observed hugging his client.”The room Baez and Anthony meet in is very small and typically there is a desk and two chairs. Sources told Eyewitness News that on one occasion, Anthony was sitting and Baez was very close to her face. A corrections officer had to go into the room to separate them.
Alan Moore, a jail spokesperson reported , “Orange County jail policy forbids any kind of touching between visitors and inmates. Mr. Baez was cooperative and agreed not to repeat the behavior. Mr. Baez has always been professional and cooperative in his interactions with the Orange County Corrections Department.
Eyewitness news’ legal analyst Bill Schaeffer said it’s unusual that an attorney would ever touch a client.”The more experience you are in handling these type of clients or situation, the less likely you are to place yourself in a situation that could be regarded as a compromising situation,” said Schaeffer.
Well it was clear that two years ago JoseBaez only had 3 years of experience as an attorney. So that may help to explain his actions.
CASEY’S CRUSH ON JOSE
But for Casey, a simple hug or showing compassion and caring may have been misinterpreted as sexuality. Since Casey has demonstrated in the past, she mainly relates to with men in terms of sexuality, it was no wonder that Casey may have translated Jose’s attention n terms of her having a major crush on him.
Casey Anthony, who only appeared to know how to relate to men through coquettishness, flirtatiousness, manipulation, and sexuality was now apparently thrilled to now have all of the undivided attention of good looking, well groomed, well dressed attorney.

So it was no wonder that Casey lit up whenever she had the chance to be in Jose’s presence. You can see how thrilled she is in the above photo with her genuine smile as she peers directly into Jose’s eyes.

As she spent more and more time with Jose, her crush on him grew stronger. Even though Jose is no doubt trying to share information with her about what s going on in the courtroom, Casey manages to eek out a smile to show how happy she is being around Jose. She clearly had a major crush on Jose.

As indicated in the detective’s notes which has been released as evidence, it was revealed that Casey had a “crush” on Jose.He visited her around 11 PM because that was when he probably when he had the chance to see his client after working on her case all day . But no doubt, she misinterpreted it as their “special night time get togethers.”
CASEY’S ANGER AT JOSE’S WIFE BEING PREGNANT

The documents which were released show just how much she misinterpreted their meeting and interactions. The dectective’s notes say that Casey was upset when she found out Jose’s wife was pregnant.
Obviously Casey manufactured in her disturbed mind that she and Jose were in a relationship. So she reacted like a jealous girlfriend who found out her boyfriend impregnated another woman. This was Jose’s wife. Her narcissism would not allow her to see that he had any other life outside of her. It is disturbing to see how proprietary she became over Jose.
There are other implications here as well, with Jose creating life while she allegedly took away a life . She even may have even fantasized about having a baby with Jose. Now that his wife was having his baby, she got upset and jealous that it was not her who was having the baby with Jose.
JOSE’S TRANSITION
What is interesting to note is the transition in terms of the attorney -client interaction with Jose Baez and Casey Anthony. At first it was all smiles. Jose’s behavior indicated that he truly believed in his client. He appeared fond of her as we observed in the courtroom. There appeared to be a great deal of communication between them. But that has definitely changed.

Gone is Casey’s coquettishness and flirtatiousness . She is more serious and rarely shows her toothy grin. Maybe that has a lot more to do with her vanity concerning the repaired tooth that was chipped during her fall .
Jose does not sit as close to her nor does he engage her in as much communication in the courtroom as he had done in the past.
Now that a body was found and there is an overwhelming amount of evidence against Casey,Jose has nothing to smile about as he sifts through it all and tries his best to spare her life. He has done his best as an attorney and reached out to hire the best of the best of the best to help defend his client.
His hiring of one of the foremost jury consultants is a prime example. Just doing that may be what spares Casey from a lethal injection. No matter how much evidence there is- like it or not , it is all about who is on that jury. The prosecution has refused to engage a jury consultant and if they do get one, they need one who is equally or more savvy than the defense’s consultant. They need someone who can clearly read people. Since they are not doing this, there is not a level playing field and Jose may prevail on behalf of his client.
If Casey is found guilty of killing Caylee or if it is decided that she get the death penalty, there is another issue as far as Jose Baez is concerned of which he must be aware.
CONCERN ABOUT A RE- TRIAL
If Casey is found guilty , there is nothing that would surprise me in terms of what she would do to save her in my view narcissistic sociopathic self. Who is to say she could not accuse Jose Baez of having an improper relationship with her?
When Case was out on bond, there were several times that she would spend six hours a day at Baez’s office including Saturdays. There’s nothing criminal about having a relationship with a client, but Bill Schaeffer, Eyewitness News Legal Analyst said there are ethical issues.
The appellate court could find that relationship overstepped the bounds of attorney client relationship and affected that performance and order a new trial,” he said.
Even though there was no evidence that Baez and Casey were actually having a relationship, based on all the lies she told already from where she worked to lies about Zenaida Gonzales, I would put nothing past her. I would not be surprised is she made up yet another lie about her and Jose. I would not be surprised if she threw one of the few attorneys in the planet who would take her case, under the bus just to save herself. www.drlillianglass.com

Hand written notes, very interesting!

When reading the hand written notes, your head shakes and there is some very interesting info in them. Casey is upset because the wife is pregnant. How odd is this?
Also in these notes there is a comment about Casey having a crush on Baez. Of course this could be true as she like anyone and everyone. I am betting she thinks she will walk after this trial and right into Baez house to take over. Of course we know that he doesn’t have a house, so maybe they can live in his car or office. Seems she LOVED to spend time in his office…..visiting at 2300 [11:00 pm] is pretty late to visit a client in jail. Guess Baez has no home life!

It also states that Cindy and Casey got very close after the child went missing. How close should you and can you get to a murderer, even if it is your daughter? Something I would want no part in. I am confused at the Casey wore Caylee’s sunglasses when out on bond.

And was Casey upset that Baez didn’t get to tell her that a body was found? I am sure she was, but I’m not sure Baez was ready to tell her. I wonder if Jose had planned on searching Suburban Dr with Casey, had she been able to go out and search secretly. And wonder if Jose thinks his inexperience will get Casey off? I am thinking Casey thinks there is some big plan for her and Jose when she walks…but in reality she won’t walk and there won’t be any Casey and Jose ‘Happily ever after”! There will be “JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE”!

Josh Powell speaks: My wife, Susan, left us behind

Puyallup, Wash. •

Despite pressure from police and the public, Josh Powell has remained tight-lipped about why he thinks his wife disappeared or how she might be found.

But this week the husband of Susan Cox Powell broke his silence to say his wife is “extremely unstable,” and that he believes mental illness drove her to leave her family behind.

Only reduced scrutiny from her family and the public, he said, will speed her return.

“She knows she will be chewed up like hamburger when she comes back,” Josh Powell said in a Wednesday interview with The Salt Lake Tribune.

He complained his wife’s family has created an image of her that puts her under too much pressure.

“She can’t come back with them treating her this way,” Josh Powell said. “They want her to be perfect, a saint with no fallibility.”

Susan’s family and friends have openly criticized Josh Powell’s level of cooperation with investigators and recounted instances of controlling and abusive behavior toward his wife. Yet Josh Powell said his wife’s family must stop lying about him and be more accepting of an imperfect Susan.

“She doesn’t have as much strength as they like to think she has,” Josh Powell said.

But he also tearfully described Susan as “a good person and a good wife and a good mother.”

Susan’s parents say they aren’t the problem, and that their son-in-law and his family are unhappy they have been criticized. They continue to believe their daughter would never have left her two young sons.

“It’s clear with them they need to blame somebody,” said Susan’s father, Chuck Cox, during an interview at his Puyallup home.

He says she’s alive » Police have called Josh Powell the only person of interest in his wife’s Dec. 7 disappearance from their home in West Valley City.

Josh Powell declined to answer many questions about the investigation and at points asked his father, Steve, not to bring up some subjects.

But Josh Powell stuck by his previous statements: that he last saw his wife as he left her at home and took their sons, then ages 2 and 4, on a late-night camping trip to the west desert in the family’s blue minivan. He and the children stayed warm in the freezing temperatures with a generator and heater he had purchased two weeks earlier, Josh Powell said. Police have since seized the equipment, he said.

“Susan was with me at the generator store,” Josh Powell said, but was unable to remember the name of the store.

As for the wet spot police found on the carpet of Josh and Susan Powell’s home the day after her disappearance, Steve Powell said his daughter-in-law had decided to clean the carpets. There was a red spot on the carpet underneath the couch, he said.

“It was probably juice or something,” Steve Powell said.

Steve Powell said an FBI agent who came to his Puyallup home on May 11 told him the bureau, after reviewing evidence gathered by West Valley City police, does not believe Josh Powell had anything to do with the disappearance and that Susan is alive.

That agent, and others from the U.S. Marshals service, were there to retrieve a GPS tracking device secretly attached to Susan and Josh Powell’s Dodge Caravan. Two court orders, signed by a federal magistrate in Salt Lake City and reviewed by The Tribune, indicate the device was attached to the van in January.

An FBI spokeswoman on Friday declined to comment.

Also on May 11, Steve Powell gave agents permission to search his home, according to other documents provided by the family. Josh Powell also gave permission for authorities to search the storage sheds at his home in West Valley City.

Police there have said Josh Powell has not responded to requests for additional interviews. However, Steve Powell said when his son returned to Utah from Washington in December, his attorney told police he would meet them for another interview. Steve Powell claims the detectives said they only work Monday through Thursday. Josh Powell was arriving on a Friday. The interview did not occur.

“How interested were these people in talking to Josh?” Steve Powell asked rhetorically.
